An apartment for a single person situated in the very centre of Cracow inside a rare good modern architecture of Angel City apartment building. The main assumption was to make a project which would be functional and stylish for the owner. Theoretically, we have a division into four rooms with functions of a kitchen with a dining room, a bedroom with a wardrobe, a living room and a bathroom, but in practice, there is one space and the functions mix and permeate each other.
The mood changes by regulating light intensity and colour. We designed a glazing between the living room and the bathroom, and the privacy is secured by a thick curtain which at the same time silences the room. In the bathroom, all the basic functions were ordered within a small space in a way to create a pure minimalistic form. In the bedroom, over the floor, instead of a lamp there is a fan shaded by a baldachin slightly separating sleeping place and the living room.
Kitchen island has an additional retractable table top for the morning coffee. There are also many elements which optically magnify the space like mirrors or front sides of wardrobes made of a black glass. Recently, the project was awarded the first prize in the contest Vasco Integrations.
